Georgie

Georgie follows ex-mobster George Martorano as he navigates love and loss after 32 years in prison. Raised in a powerful Philadelphia crime family, George followed his father, Raymond "Long John" Martorano, into organized crime, running a lucrative drug operation in his 20s. He lost everything when he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. In prison, George endured profound loneliness — losing his father, son, and wife within two years. Released in 2015, he struggles to let go of the past, especially in his romantic relationships. Now living with his daughter Francesca, who also avoids love due to fear of loss, George confronts the emotional scars of his past. In a poignant final scene, he recites a poem about loneliness to an empty restaurant, a haunting reflection of a life forever altered by time and tragedy.
