About the Film

Swimming Through will screen as part of ‘AIFF Shorts: Local Visions’

The brutal Chicago winter draws near and three avid open water swimmers make a pact to continue training through the snow and ice. Their intense commitment becomes their salvation from pandemic lockdown and helps alleviate their personal struggles. Initially just acquaintances the three women form a fast friendship around their daily ritual of swimming at sunrise in frigid Lake Michigan.
